RUBY…….THE GEM STONE FOR JULY
The Ancient stone Ruby, is this Month’s birthstone. The stone is decidedly red! The more pure red and the more intense and brilliant, the more valuable. The stone for Leo: Fire and Passion! Used for center or side stones, ruby is a major statement in any fine piece. Most stones come from the Far-East: Myanmar and Thailand.
The family of Corundum is known for Ruby and Sapphire. While Ruby is specific to the definite color – red, Sapphire comes in an array of color. Most known for blue, pink and yellows, they are known for other colors as well. The Corundum family has hard gems, (second to diamonds), and wonderful brilliance. Very worthwhile!
