DIAMOND EDUCATION: THE 4 C’S
- Carat – which is the weight of the stone
- Color – ranges from letter D – Z, colorless all the way to colorful
- Clarity – ranges from Flawless, VVS, VS, SI, and I. These are all imperfections in the stone itself.
- Cut – Shape of the Stone. But the secret ingredient within “cut” is parameters of proper proportions, (percentages), symmetry, and faceting detail. The latter can make or BREAK the finest of diamond material. So extremely important and so often neglected.
